Description

Up for auction is this very rare 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix 50th Golden Anniversary Hurst Edition with T-tops. Yes it is a Hurst Pontiac.
I have the window sticker that shows delivered to Hurst Performance, Pontiac, Michigan.
Also, note that the window sticker shows Grand Prix SJ Hardtop Coupe and it shows LJ Luxury Appointments Option.
The window sticker shows $8,340.85 and Anniversary Gold-White. This cost more than a Trans Am.
See the pictures showing the extremely rare 50th Anniversary items such as the hood ornament, trunk/key ornament, 50th Anniversary license plate, and other items. I have an air conditioning compressor and hoses. I know I have extra used front signals and bezels and headlight bezels. I do not have the AM/FM 8-track.
This is a project car but not a major project. I have been driving it the way it is and I get thumbs up and compliments. It is what I would call a cosmetic project car in that the body/paint and interior need some work. It runs well and it's my understanding from the previous owner that the engine has about 46,000 miles on it. Also, the transmission has been rebuilt.
It had some damage to the front and the passenger fender, and the inner fender, hood, front bumper, nose, and radiator support were replaced. Also, the passenger frame horn/extension was checked and straightened by Bear Frame & Axle. There is light hail damage. This car had been painted before I bought it in the gold and white and in my opinion the paint was not a top quality paint job. Also, it appears that the sanding/preparation work before the paint was hand sanding in places so the body will need some attention before paint. There are some rust spots behind the rear tires and at the door corners but no major rust that I am aware of. I am trying to describe this car accurately and to be honest if it sells I'll probably regret it as I probably won't be able to find another one of these rare Hurst GPs.
I have a pair of Hurst Hatch T-tops. I have brand new rubber seals for the doors and trunk. I have not been able to find the window felts/seals but if I have them I'll include them as well. See the picture of the nice pair of hood hinges as well.
The only reason I'm thinking about selling this car is because I'm looking to buy another car. Also, I have other cars as well. Again, if it sells fine and if not I'm fine with that.
Please ask questions and/or ask for more pictures as needed. Note that I have 100% feedback.
Please ask early in the auction so I have time to respond.
Note that I am listing some other Pontiac and 50th Anniversary Edition items separately.
As this car is being sold locally, the seller reserves the right to end the auction early.
This car is sold AS IS with NO guarantees/warranties at all so ask questions as needed or inspect and/or arrange to have it inspected.
